Strut Tegized

It is very hard to drive a car that is not properly tuned. When you drive in cornering angles your tires do not have enough grip on the pavements, there are lots of noise and clunking sounds when hitting your brakes. Maybe it’s time to check or make modification on your suspensions. For older car models suspension modification is a right decision to make. A quality upgrade will improve your handling and grip on the road.
Every components of your car plays a vital role. We cannot remove one part of it but we can change it to improve and to produce better performance. Engine upgrades is just an easy task but under your chassis your upgrades must be in proper tuning. There are lots of components that your suspensions have. Each of these parts plays a different role under your car. Before making a suspension upgrades you must first take a step back and look at how things work before you make it work better. Each components of your suspension can be upgraded but let me give you an idea of one of the components that plays also the vital role in your suspension, the strut rods.
The strut rod purpose is to pull the lower ball joint forward or push it rear wards to set the caster angle during wheel alignment. strut rods are connected between the frame and the lower control arm. When the strut rod bushing worn out it results to a clunking noise while braking, the caster alignment will be affected also. Other manufacturers call the strut rods as compression rods. Others modify strut rods to have a better performance. They redesigned strut rods to make improvements in the areas of performance, serviceability, and ease of installation. They even made adjustable strut rods that can be use on either street or racetracks.
On the old school cars like the classic cars the strut rods is connected to the lower arm, while the new model cars they uses Macpherson strut suspension. They have a different style or type of struts but they are similar in tuning the camber and the caster alignment.  In the older kind of strut rods, its main function is to limit the front and back movement of the lower control arm and to provide a means of fine tuning the amount of caster in the alignment while the role of the strut in the MacPherson strut suspension is to support the weight of the vehicle via spring around the strut. In Asian cars or as they called import cars strut rods or strut bars usually install and stretch across the engine bay, it is s suspension accessory usually used in conjunction with Macpherson struts on a unibody chassis to provide extra stiffness between the strut towers. Whatever purpose the strut rod gives it is always for the good performance of the vehicle.
Whether you are driving the vintage, classic or latest model car what really matters is you drive it hassle free with good handling and grip on the road, why don’t you take a minute and check under your car you might need some upgrades.
